Currents

We are working with an anthropological approach, criticizing dominant cultural currents, which are prevailing norms, values, and practices of contemporary society. These currents shape the way people think, act, and interact with one another, and they often reflect the interests and experiences of those in power. In Western society, the dominant cultural current has historically been that of the white man. The rise of colonialism and imperialism in the West led to a global system of domination and exploitation that was grounded in the belief in the inherent superiority of white men. In order to bring about such a transformation, it is necessary to engage in a critical analysis of the current cultural norms and power structures. This involves not only recognizing the ways in which these structures privilege certain groups over others, but also actively working to challenge and change them. The project aims to explore the queer body as a Body without Organs in the discourse of post-humanism. The Body without Organs is a concept that represents the potential to disrupt the structures of power that govern our lives - to break free from the limitations of our physical and social bodies.
